Beautiful Christmas lights in mid-November (they are not on all night, I was there very late at 4 am or so and they were off, so be careful with timing), lots of musicians there. Cute place.
Along the canal you can find people's busking. There is small stall selling local food.
A pedestrian bridge with large permanent parasols, concrete tables and wooden benches. A good place to take a rest and enjoy the sights along the Nakagawa River.
There is a boarding area for the river cruise and the yakatabune (a home-style barge that offers dinner cruises) next to the bridge on the Nishi-Nakasu side. The Kihinkan Hall is only a few steps away.
I visited there on the night of the new year. It is beautiful with light display.
